Common Items
Not everything is an amazing item that redefines society. A lot of technology is just everyday things that people use. Some of these things are recognizable, but others have changed over their time in the future.
Household and Personal
Holoscreen—similar to a television, it uses holographic technology to project a three-dimensional image in front of it.
Holotab—A tablet that projects a three-dimensional image above it, however, it can only be seen from someone looking at it from in front of it.
Instachef—vending machines that sell various hot foods.
Wallis—A machine that you put ingredients in, and it makes soft foods like condiments and puddings, etc.
Coffee, Tea, and More—A hot drink machine that dispenses one of several dozen hot drinks.
Transportation
Hovercars—Usually only seen in the larger cities, they run on predetermined and programmed paths in a city and cannot change routes until they arrive at the destination. They can alter in case of emergency, however.
Mag-Slip Train—Friction-less high-speed trains inside the larger cities. They have commuter trains (four cars) that travel ten miles or less in a path, or the longer distance ones (six cars) that go from one side of the city to the other.
Personal Hoverboards—small, one-person sized boards, about three feet square, that can travel short distances (under one mile). There is a hoverboard path under the hovercar lanes. These are useful for first responders and couriers.
Communications
Com Implants—Button-sized implants placed in the back of the wrist that allow instant communication with others who have an implant or a physical receiver. These are mostly used by EDS agents, but others might have them installed.
Polyvox—Almost invisible earpieces that are universal translators. They translate in real time, making them incredibly efficient at any human language, and some Realmer ones. They are readily available to anyone as they are very inexpensive to make.
Universal Phone—A phone that can access cellular, analog, and satellite networks, depending on what it needs. These phones can be any size, but most are relatively small.
