QEBS: Technology

The QEBS was supposed to be the future. Instead, it became the spark that rewrote the world. One experiment. One miscalculation. One moment where science reached too far. And reality finally pushed back

The first thing humans had to do was detect the substrate and map it. They’ve already been able to delve into spacetime, which is actually the area around the realms and the Nexus, known by older civilizations as “the Empty.” It is a buffer zone around the Nexus. Going through spacetime allows them to find a new layer. They believe they have found a new quantum energy layer under spacetime, when in reality, they have found the outer skin of the Nexus.

All these instruments are misinterpreting the natural harmonic pulses of the Nexus. They believed they have found a new form of energy that they can freely tap into with the right tools. To get these tools, they needed to invent them.

The technology discovered in order to do this was:

• Quantum Gradient Tomography: This technology allows scientists to make images of fluctuations in the substrate using a femtometer scale.

• Vacuum Energy Interferometry: This technology allows them to detect interference patterns in “the Empty” or what they believe is the spacetime layer.

• Subspace Harmonic Spectroscopy -This technology measures the oscillations in the substrate. To scientists this looks like energy waves of a type they’ve never seen.

The next issue they faced was how to capture high-density energy. They fully believe they have found a source of endless clean energy. They came up with the hypothesis that if the proper machine could be built to syphon and contain that energy, the world’s energy crisis would be avoided.

All these systems were supposed to stabilize the substrate, allowing scientists to access it effectively to siphon off the energy and transport it into energy storage. They in reality are pinching and flattening the membrane of the Nexus. This causes the Nexus to be unable to stop the realms from aligning with each other.

To tap this endless energy well, they had to create the technology for:

• Zero-Point Energy Wells: These would artificially deepen local vacuum energy minima and make it possible to contain this type of energy.

• Quantum Lattice Conduits: This technology was used to create channels to hold and move energy that doesn’t act like photons or electrons, i.e. zero point energy.

• Non-Linear Energy Dampers: These dampers are meant to prevent runaway feedback loops. These, of course, fail completely.

At the heart of the QEBS is the Harmonic Field Stabilization. Using this, they believe they are smoothing out quantum turbulence. What they are actually doing is forcing the Nexus to resonate at unnatural frequencies. This is something that leads to the dire consequences of what they are doing. The Nexus has to protect itself at this point.

During the activation, the QEBS locks onto the perfect harmonic, one they had previously used in testing briefly. The testing, of course, did not cause much of an effect due to the small incursion it used. This is a much larger incursion into the Nexus. What they’ve actually done is matching the inter-realm alignment frequency of the Nexus. As soon as this happens, everything spirals out of control.

To do what they are intending, they create:

• Resonant Field Emitters: These are what generates the precise harmonics that the scientists believe are calming the frequencies of the substrate, making it easier to access.

• Phase-Locked Quantum Oscillators: These synchronize the entire facility to a single harmonic signature, locking it in so they are able to be in sync with the harmonics.

• Adaptive Feedback Loops: These are artificial intelligence systems that adjust the harmonics in real time and at incredible speeds.

Humans, of course, cannot operate this system manually. They had to create a Predictive Quantum AI in order to work the system. This AI required some new and innovative technology to make it work. This AI is massive and incredibly complex, truly a major leap in current AI technology. In the facility, they have a special cooled room dedicated to the systems for this AI.

The QEBS reads as if it has found the most optimal and best configuration to access the substrate and siphon power from it. In reality, it has found the natural alignment pattern of the Nexus. They have, in essence, opened a door they didn’t know existed.

This AI needs:

• Quantum-state Predictive Models: This allows the system to automatically predict the substrate’s behavior microseconds before it happens. This is necessary to bring it into the proper harmonization.

• Harmonic Optimization Engines: These are algorithms that quickly search for the most stable resonance pattern in the substrate.

• Self-Correcting Field Controllers: These systems operate independently and adjust the bridge’s harmonics and fields in real time and exceedingly quickly.

Of course, they cannot siphon energy without being able to compress and contain this energy. They have to be able to manipulate spacetime locally in order to hold the bridge open, otherwise it will not perform as expected. In essence, they “nail” the Nexus in place with these anchors. Since the Nexus is a living entity, and is continually moving (zero-point energy provides most the motion). Unable to flex naturally, it tears instead.

To do this, they invent more new technology:

• Localized Curvature Generators: These are solely made to create a pocket of compressed spacetime in which the QEBS can operate.

• Topological Anchors: The anchors are there to keep the bridge from collapsing.

• Containment Shells: Failing horribly, these are meant to prevent the energy from ripping the facility apart.

The actual architecture of the bridge itself was incredibly innovative, perhaps even genius. It was a testament of all these brilliant scientists working together. They believed they had built a perfect, controlled siphon with a safe energy pipeline. They also believed it to be a completely closed system.

To do this, they needed to build was:

• Quantum Phase Tunnels: These tunnels bypass normal spacetime, or tunnel through it to the substrate.

• Entanglement Stabilizers: These stabilizers were meant to make sure the tunnel stayed coherent, and stable while energy was siphoned through the tunnels.

• Harmonic Gateways: The gateways would regulate the flow of energy, matching harmonics faster than human though.

This accidentally creates a one-way breach into the membrane of the Nexus. The Nexus attempts to stop it from tearing, but can only stop it in one direction, thus the tear goes downward toward Earth. This means that the breaches that occur are one-directional from the other realms into Earth, and nothing can return through it. The Nexus tried to avoid the realms contaminating each other more than necessary, but it was unable to stop it completely.
